Now that I am a grandmother, I get to do the fun activities I used to do with my kids all over again with my granddaughter. When my kids were small, most of our activities involved making something in one way or another whether it was baking, drawing, painting or crafting. I am a firm believer that children (and adults) learn by doing.

Hands-on creative activities sharpen children’s fine motor skills, improve problem-solving thought processes, and broaden imaginations. I have found that working on craft projects with my granddaughter has help improve my problem-solving skills and changed the way I view the world. I find it quite refreshing.

  Crafts Kaboose has crafts for every season. There are lots of printables and coloring pages to keep little minds and hands busy.

  Enchanted Learning has a lot of craft projects from which to choose. You can pay for a subscription if you want to view their site without the ads. Even if you don’t, you can still access all the wonderful craft projects.

  Hands On Crafts for Kids website is full of great crafting projects for kids ages 7-12. Their goal is to help make crafting a part of everyday life.

  Spoonful is a Disney website full of not only kids crafts, but DIY for the home, recipes, party ideas, games and other fun activities. One of my favorites!

  Of course, you would expect Martha Stewart to have excellent crafts for kids! Lots of fun projects here!

  The large TJ community means you get a wide variety of crafts for just about any theme or occasion.

  You do need to signup with a valid email address, but the site projects are free. Lots of great craft ideas!
