This a pattern for a Seed Stitch Knitted Cowl. Since I don’t knit (tried, but it did not compute), my lovely daughter, Dallyn is contributing one of her original knitted pattern creations. The cowl shown was knitted using Bernat Soft Boucle´, 5 Bulky Weight yarn.
What You Need:
- Any Bulky (5) Weight Yarn, 2 skeins
- Size 9 (5.5mm) Straight Needles
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Let’s Do It!
Cast on 56.
Row 1: * K1, p1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2: * P1, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until project is about 34” long.
Finishing:
Cast off and leave long tail to sew the ends together.
With project laid flat, twist once and fold project in half bringing edges together.
Sew the two ends together with a neat Whip Stitch. Do not pull too tightly or seam will pucker. Weave in ends.
This knitted scarf is versatile because you can wear it as a cowl or pull it up to make a lovely hood.
As always, please look for me at these Linky Parties!
